What We Need :
Here is your chance to talk sports every morning as a co-host on Des Moines #1 sports station 106.3FM and 1460AM KXnO. If you are sports-obsessed, this is the gig for you!
What You'll Do :
- Deliver daily sports talk show, covering sports news, scores, statistics and upcoming game information.
- Stay up-to-date on daily happenings in sporting news to create daily show content and additional online content.
- Comment on other pop culture matters of interest to audience (e.g. time, weather, traffic conditions) and may interview guests and members of listening audience.
- Participate in promotional events and live broadcasts.
- May be responsible for operating control board for studios and remote programming.
- Regulate program timing, operate syndicated programming, and play commercials.
- Monitor the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room.
- Protect station’s license by censoring live programs and deleting words / phrases not permitted on air.
- Check studio equipment for proper functioning.
- Handle emergency inserts (e.g. news updates and breaking stories, emergencies, alert system tests, etc.).
