Description Summary
We are seeking dedicated EMS Practical Skills Personnel to support EMS training and practical evaluations. The roles are Practical Evaluator, Practical Assistant, Practical Patient, or EMS Recorder to ensure smooth and effective training experience for EMS candidates.
Examples of Duties
Practical Evaluator - $34.80/hour
- Administer and assess hands-on EMS practical examinations.
- Ensure candidates adhere to proper EMS protocols and procedures.
- Provide constructive feedback based on established evaluation criteria.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations and report results as required.
Practical Assistant - $19.25/hour
- Play the role of EMT partner for student during skills testing.
- Support evaluators during skills testing sessions.
Practical Patient - $16.05/hour
- Role-play as a patient in EMS practical skills stations.
- Provide consistent responses based on assigned patient conditions.
- Ensure safety and professionalism while participating in scenarios.
EMS Recorder - $34.80/hour
- Accurately document candidate performance during practical evaluations.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with testing and certification standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all records.
Qualifications
Evaluator-Certified EMT and completed the Iowa EMS evaluator training, and currently hold the evaluator endorsement
Assistant- Certified EMT
Patient- 17 years of age and adult stature
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in EMS, healthcare, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of EMS protocols, and practical skills is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various training scenarios.
- Physically able to participate in patient role-playing exercises.
- Availability of working flexible, part-time hours based on schedules.
