Child Care Consultant/ Child Care Data Specialist
The Child Care Consultant / Data Specialist is responsible for providing education, resources and advocacy to child care providers and communities. This position will provide technical assistance (TA) services to child care providers in centers, preschools, child development homes and child care homes that at a minimum support child care providers' ability to achieve and maintain regulatory status in good standing. This position will manage the CCR&R database(s) through data collection and creation of reports. This position will compile and format reports for all contractual funders.
Consultants must be willing to promote, educate, and advocate for West Central Community Action and the CCR&R clients, parents and community services through delivery and marketing. Regular attendance or presentations at meetings regarding the importance of child care throughout the communities we serve.
Previous experience in database management and child care preferred.
A Bachelor's of Arts or Sciences in Early Childhood Education or similar degree, good computer skills, dependable transportation, valid driver's license and auto liability insurance are required for this position.
This position will have some evening and Saturday hours as needed to offer training and support to child care providers. Benefits include: group health, dental, life, short & long term disability plans, 13 paid holidays, vacation and sick pay, IPERS, 403 (B) retirement programs and an EAP Program.
