What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Clerk of Court position at Iowa County Government?
The purpose of this position is to assist the Clerk of Court in the discharge of the duties of that office which utilizes a working knowledge of the Wisconsin Statutes, specifically 59.40. In the absence of the Clerk of Circuit Court, this position is responsible for the duties of that office.
-Performs as Clerk in Court.
-Assembles and types Judges’ calendars.
-Initiates and disposes of cases.
-Prepares pay vouchers
-Completes local and State reporting
-Performs record searches.
-Provides customer support to law enforcement agency personnel, attorneys and members of the public.
-Prepares receipts.
-Processes passport applications.
-Performs in a lead role in the absence of the Clerk of Court.
-Under the Direction of the Clerk of Court, assists in training of new personnel.
-Processes department mail
-Performs deputized functions of Department.
-Completes data entry tasks.
-Completes and files correspondence, legal documents, notices, and orders.
-Must demonstrate regular and dependable attendance.
-Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.40 - $29.03 per hour
