What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/Direct Support Professional position at Iowa Family Assistants?
Iowa Family Assistants is looking for caregivers that are compassionate, energetic, responsible, and dedicated individuals to provide in-home care. Each individual we support has unique goals and needs. As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll help our members work towards greater independence in their homes and in the community, all while gaining valuable experience and making a difference in the lives of others. We have full or part time positions available in Oskaloosa and Ottumwa area.
Care we provide depending on client:
- SCL (Supportive Community Living)- Supporting clients with goals that allow them to retain necessary information to become independent in their daily lives. We give the necessary tools to guide them to a more fulfilling life.
- CDAC (Consumer Direct Attendant Care) care- Providing tasks for clients that are more difficult for them to complete on their own. Tasks could include; Meal preparation, Housekeeping, Cleaning, Laundry, Grocery shopping, Errands, Personal cares
