Maintenance Worker

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team at our powder coating facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and systems involved in the powder coating process. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on powder coating equipment, including spray booths, curing ovens, conveyor systems, and other machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on facility equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
• Inspect, lubricate, and clean equipment as per the maintenance schedule.
• Assist in installing new machinery or systems as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and assist in ordering materials.
• Work with the production team to minimize machine downtime and ensure continuous operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification is a plus).
• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or powder coating environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in an industrial setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as required.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced industrial setting with exposure to equipment noise, dust, and chemicals used in the powder coating process.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
