Our Vice President, Accounting & Corporate Controller is responsible for shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring the organization’s financial health. This includes financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, managing accounting/finance operations, ensuring sustainable growth, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Essential Responsibilities
Business Acumen
- Advise on all financial decisions and implement effective decision-making processes to set the organization up for success in achieving the company mission/goals.
- Oversee the buildout of a finance and accounting organizational design to match the growth and needs of the business currently and into the future.
- Oversees the company’s short and long-term financial plans and forecasts.
- Develops and leads the company’s strategic financial planning and budget process, including the consolidation and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.
- Develops and implements predictive tools, systems, models and activity based financial analysis to make actionable recommendations that drive performance outcomes.
- Manages cash flow, working capital and capital allocation strategies for optimal efficiency.
- Manages the insurance needs of the organization.
- Improve treasury functions such as remote deposit, corporate credit card platform, etc.
- Creates and distributes ROI frameworks to ensure effective spending of funds, while identifying key revenue and cost drivers.
- Accountable for the preparation and accuracy of all financial reporting (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, etc.).
- Predicts and identifies financial risks (market, industry, operational, etc.) and works with the Leadership Team to develop mitigation strategies.
- Development of standard operating procedures.
Project Leadership
- Provides actionable financial insights to the CEO, Leadership Team, and Shareholders to guide key decisions on all financial matters.
- Ability to transition from QuickBooks to Industry ERP software.
- Development of KPI’s and analytics.
- Development of compensation systems which motivate and drive results.
Culture and People Leadership
- Develops and maintains a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics and transparency.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field (required).
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or finance (preferred).
- CPA or CFA designation (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership, including 5 years as a Controller or CFO equivalent.
- Ability to assist/lead strategic negotiations.
- Prior experience in healthcare (preferred).
- Financial Profit/Loss analysis and analytics
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Solid experience with managing the budget process.
- Experience with capital budget planning
- Development and management of intercompany/intracompany allocations.
- Competency with industry ERP software.
- Proficiency in cash flow analysis and cost variance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
