If so, Iowa Sound, a leading provider in the live event industry, is searching for a Part-Time Warehouse Technician to join our team in Ankeny, IA.

For nearly 30 years, Iowa Sound has been at the forefront of delivering top-tier audio, video and lighting solutions for events across the Midwest. The Warehouse Technician will be an integral part of daily operations, ensuring inventory is efficiently organized, maintained, and prepared for all types of events. Candidate will also be responsible for overseeing vehicle maintenance/readiness as well as general day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

This position is a part-time hourly position.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse operations and inventory control

· Prepping equipment, loading and unloading trucks

· Managing transportation logistics including overseeing maintenance of fleet

· Assist in day-to-day warehouse operations, deliveries, equipment pick up/return, testing equipment, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, organization and cleaning of warehouse, etc.

· Work closely with clients who pick up or return gear at the warehouse

· Ensure equipment maintains safe operational status

Additional potential responsibilities include:

· Transport and unload/load equipment at job sites.

· On site assistance with set up and/or tear down for events

· Assisting with installations

Requirements

• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Position requires good listening skills, and the ability to make decisions quickly and reliably
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills
• Working knowledge or ability to learn all types of audio, video and lighting equipment
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently
• Interacting and communicating effectively and professionally with co-workers and clients is imperative
• Maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude
• Must maintain a driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification and obtain any special licensing needed to drive a box truck, van, or other company vehicles
• Ability to competently drive a truck and trailer is highly preferred
• Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Maintain high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize work responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Able to meet the physical demands which include frequent bending, pushing/pulling gear, and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Work Environment

The majority of work will be performed in a warehouse environment. Working conditions can include exposure to dirt, sand, fluctuation temperatures, as well as fluctuation sound levels between quiet and noisy. Team members frequently work with high-end audio and lighting equipment and electrical equipment. Additional work will also be performed in an outdoor setting where team members are exposed to cold, heat, wind and rain.

Job Type: Internship, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-20/hr depending on skill level. 25-30 hours per week. Potential to become full time for the right candidate.
