Job Description:
Full-Time Weekend Package Night Position in Belmond Emergency Department
Friday through Sunday 7p-7a.
The ED Tech is a vital part of the Emergency Department team and assists with registration, answering phones and assists the RN in the care and coordination of ED patients. Job duties/requirements include: basic office and computer skills, positive personal demeanor, confidentiality, excellent communication skills, dependability and direct patient care.
This flex position may require working at other Iowa Specialty locations along with supporting the medical-surgical department as needed.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of healthcare experience, the ability to multi-task, prioritize in high acuity situations and is a self-starter.
Certification not required but preference given to EMT, CNA, or CMA certifications.
The right candidate will need to have BLS and AVADE certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
