Iowa Sports Management Inc.is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial activities, ensure compliance, and manage cash flow processes. This role will manage all accounting operations, conduct budgeting and variance analysis, and support company growth with efficient financial management practices. The ideal candidate will have a background in cash management, budgeting, and familiarity with financial audits.
Key Responsibility:
· Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger
· Financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting
· Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and payments to clients
· Ensure timely submission of payroll by working closely with HR/Payroll manager and ADP
· Monitor and report on budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
· Learn and utilize the company's proprietary accounting software, Sage, which manages all financial operations
· Manage cash flow processes, including daily reconciliations and payments
· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
· Exercise discretion and independent judgment in decisions impacting business operations or finances
· Ensure timely client billing and that invoices are paid in line with client payment terms
· Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
· Work closely with insurance brokers and tax advisors
Qualifications:
· BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major
· 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
· Working experience and proficiency with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll processing/management is required
· Full understanding of GAAP
· Hands-on experience working with auditors
· CPA is preferred but not required
· Strong computer proficiency, to include particularly Excel and Sage software

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
