What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at IOWA STAFFING?
Iowa Staffing is seeking qualified candidates for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician position. Hours will be 2:30 pm-11 pm plus overtime. The Maintenance Technician will provide machine maintenance, grounds maintenance, and building maintenance. Also, the Maintenance Technician will assist with building repairs. Starting pay is $30.00-$35.00 an hour based on interview/experience.
Below are the requirements:
- At least two year’s previous machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Seeking candidates who are proficient at trouble shooting mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems for the purpose of diagnosing equipment failures.
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and facilities
- Working knowledge of single/three phase power systems and industrial controls
- Helps to establish preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required. A two-year degree from a technical school/trade is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to West Des Moines (not on a bus line)
- Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- PLC experience in Allen Bradley will be a plus
