We are currently seeking a Commercial Loans and Business Development Officer at our East Village location in Des Moines, Iowa. The Commercial Loans and Business Development Officer is responsible for the development of new commercial business and expanding existing commercial customer relationships. This position makes and services a variety of commercial and commercial real estate loans and maintains a high quality loan portfolio to minimize credit loss to the bank. Ensures compliance with bank lending policies and procedures.
Candidates that express an interest in this invitation must have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related filed or equivalent combination of education and/or experience; broad knowledge and experience in administration, documentation and collection of all types of loans; understanding of State and Federal regulations and compliance requirements; ability to research and interpret local, state and federal legislation as it relates to the lending field, including collection and credit card law; good decision making skills, ability to organize tasks for maximum performance, self-motivated, and knowledge of various types of checks, endorsements and regulations; must demonstrate strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy; adept at carrying out complex oral and written instructions; ability to communicate well; sales orientation and community mindedness with the ability to meet the public, project a professional attitude and demeanor, and develop new business; skillful at working effectively with customers, fellow employees and the general public; proficient computer software skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel; and ability to perform all duties effectively and ethically with little supervision.
