Responsibilities Include
- Budget planning with an all-funds approach.
- Providing financial status to the department chairs and directors of the respective units.
- Developing financial reports and projections
- Developing the annual departmental budgets and tracking adjustments
- Collecting and analyzing data for compiling annual reports
- Approving all departmental financial transactions
- Managing Foundation accounts and assisting in managing sponsored grants
- Advises administration and staff regarding available options and budgetary implications
- Prepares operational budgets for departments; reviews expenditures to ensure conformance with University Policy and Procedures
- Compiles data and prepares reports
- Prepares and analyzes budget reports for department chairs with an “all funds” approach
- Prepares statistical reports for the comparison between the current financial situation and budgeted forecast.
- Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals
- Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems
- Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests
- May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff
- May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity
