The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating machinery used in the production process or assisting machine operators;
- Combining working independently with group efforts to meet production goals;
- Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards;
- Notifying operators of any malfunctions detected during equipment operations;
- Assisting maintenance workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment;
- Cutting and welding metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new ones, or assemble new equipment;
- Cleaning and lubricating equipment;
- Maintaining a clean work area and supporting other housekeeping functions;
- Forklift operation.
