Surgery - Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Iowa Veterinary Specialists (IVS) is seeking a talented and professional RVT to join our surgery team at our busy, 24-hour, emergency & specialty hospital. This position is PART-TIME.* You would be assisting with scheduled surgeries during daytime shifts for 1-3 weeks per month.

By joining our crew, you would be working with our two board-certified veterinary surgeons. You would be advancing your anesthesia skills, learning how to use an anesthetic ventilator, performing epidurals, learning advanced pain management skills and working around our talented emergency department members to provide the highest standard of care!

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician Certification
• Veterinary experience with animal handling, catheterization, and restraint
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Experience in pet care and dog handling
• Ability and willingness to help adjust or move animals or objects up to 75 pounds in all directions.
