The Revenue Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This role involves overseeing market research, content creation, digital campaigns, and managing a Marketing Coordinator to ensure effective promotion across various channels. The Revenue Marketing Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives, track campaign performance, and optimize marketing initiatives to deliver measurable results. Leadership, creativity, and data-driven decision-making are key to success in this position.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Support the marketing team by developing and executing annual brand strategies to help drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
- Lead the Marketing Coordinator and assist them in managing email marketing, marketing automation, website content, database marketing, social media efforts, and grassroots marketing campaigns.
- Drive revenue by creating campaigns to increase sales of individual tickets, group and season tickets, merchandise, and sponsorships.
- Manage all paid advertising campaigns from creation to execution including all traditional media (TV, radio, print, outdoor, digital, etc.) and effectively communicate with all media partners.
- Collaborate with the creative and graphic design team, including the Creative Services Manager and Social Media Manager, to assist in bringing the brand to life visually.
- Work with the Communications team to help ensure accurate and timely messaging of promotions, news, and updates.
- Provide ongoing support to marketing staff and assist in performance evaluations to foster career development.
- Executing integrated marketing efforts that support revenue goals, including ticket sales, partnerships, and merchandise.
- Participate in and lead meetings to support promotional logistics for upcoming games.
- Help in the development and placement of revenue-generating content and assets, ensuring they align with brand standards.
- Create mass-market brand awareness by developing and managing relationships with local media partners and creating strategic paid, barter, and earned campaigns.
- Contribute to the development of new event ideas and revenue-generating opportunities such as promotions, ticket packages, and theme nights, working alongside the Experiential Marketing team.
- Leverage marketing technology and analytics to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of campaigns.
- Assist in managing the fan development budget, including advertising, game day events, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure a cohesive, detailed, and effective promotional calendar for the season.
- Work with the sponsorship team to ensure timely ordering and activation of promotional items for events.
- Assist in managing technology platforms for marketing efforts such as website, creative software, and app integration.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key departments to ensure cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Collaborate with the Experiential Marketing team to facilitate promotional jersey designs, ordering, and campaign launches.
- Gameday Responsibilities:
- Assist in building, managing, and staffing a welcoming fan relations area on the concourse to engage with new and existing fans.
- Help create and manage an interactive kid's zone on the concourse in collaboration with the experiential marketing team.
- Support the marketing team's gameday roles and responsibilities, maintaining a service-first mindset.
- Assist in assessing and improving in-game graphics, implementing action plans as needed.
- Contribute ideas for interactive experiences for season ticket members and other fans.
- Help with gameday setup and breakdown.
- Stay in communication with the social media team to assist with any questions or issues during home and away games.
- Manage the concourse giveaway plan and support its execution during games.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of two years of marketing experience.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools, including graphic design programs.
