Job Description
- Guest Services: Provide menus to guests and inform them of specials in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Team Coordination: Circulate throughout the restaurant to coordinate activities of service personnel, ensuring fast and courteous service to customers.
- Cash Handling: Process payments accurately using a computerized cash register and manage bank balances effectively.
- Customer Complaints: Address any guest complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the restaurant manager if necessary.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest transactions, employee absences, and equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a cashier/host or in a related role is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for providing outstanding customer service.
- Basic math skills are required for accurate cash handling and record-keeping.
- The ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during a shift is necessary for this role.
