IT Application Systems Analyst

Position Summary:

The IT Application Systems Analyst is part of a team of Information Technology professionals supporting technical platforms and programs that deliver significant business value to the company.

Through collaboration with vendors, other IT team members, and IT Business Analysts - the IT Application Systems Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the technical systems and software the IT Department provides the businesses are managed in a manner and to a level providing the best value for the organization.

Required:

• 3 years working experience as an IT Application Systems Analyst.
• 3 years of In-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Hands-on software implementation experience.
• Possesses awareness and practical experience with technology (e.g., Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, etc.).
• Possess a process-oriented approach and systems-thinking outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives and shift priorities.
  
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience with M3, EAM, Optiva
• Experience with SQL queries
  
  
  

Essential Functions:

• Establish and perform ongoing system maintenance for assigned software applications.
• Assist in designing, delivering, and supporting technical solutions to business challenges.
• Participate in the general support and training of systems and software.
• Configuration and maintenance of software applications engine.
• Create and maintain process workflows in the software application.
• Participates in project implementation, contributing to the analysis, testing, documentation and implementation of medium to high complexity activities for assigned software.
• Collaborate with the IT Business Analysts to recommend and provide solutions to business 'needs.
• Enforce and follow change control processes.
• Manage data integrations between systems.
• Monitor and analyze log output and respond as needed.
• Review, test, and apply service packs, patches, and updates to application systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for all software and processes implemented or modified.
• Work as a liaison with software vendors and consultants.
• Fulfill the duties for other application systems in a backup role as assigned.
