Job Title - Lead Technical Writer
Location: Santa Clara, California
We are looking for a Lead Technical Writer to develop, write and deliver proprietary technical publications and other original content that enables OEMs and customers to manage their networks using IP Infusion’s patented ZebOS® Network Platform software.
Responsibilities
- Creating API, Architecture and Command Reference Technical Documents.
- Creating feature matrix and platform support documents for the new release of the products.
- Creating Hardware Compatibility List matrix for the network boards and transceiver support documents.
- Creating Installation guide and boot software guides of IP Infusion products for the supported versions.
- Organizing and preparing Release Notes, feature support guide, limitations, and workarounds.
- Organizing in Release planning, Project planning with relevant stakeholders to plan strategy and mitigate documentation risks in advance.
- Publishing guides and architecture documents in FNO and FTP server.
- Testing the features and CLI commands of the protocols developed for each release.
- Transferring technical expertise and understanding of the products and protocols of IP Infusion to team-members.
- Utilizing knowledge of our underlying architecture, schema, and code for our proprietary Networking Products ZebOS-XP and OcNOS® developed by IP Infusion in order to lead and develop Feature Matrix, Config guides, Installation guides, Ansible, Netconf and other feature guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related engineering/scientific/quantitative field.
- 6 years of progressive experience, including experience in the computer software industry. Experience specifically with developer documentation, APIs, and networking technology and protocols; C programming, including an ability to read code; project management skills with cross-functional teams; publications processes, tools, and information delivery mechanisms.
- Ability to design and write technical networking documentation for networking protocols; designing and implementing technical documentation Suites; FrameMaker, Acrobat, WebWorks ePublisher, Word, Power point; illustrating with Microsoft Visio; Doxygen, Javadoc document generation system; XML and XML-based authoring systems, and Linux.
- Experience documenting the architecture, schema and model of the networking products and protocols.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle.
