We are currently looking for a patent attorney (associate, partner track) with a solid technical background in computer science and engineering. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills.There is an abundance of challenging and sophisticated work here, thus you will be exposed to a diverse array of complex software and computer engineering applications (cryptography, block-chain, artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise and mobile applications, databases, web and cloud services, operating systems, software user interfaces, open source, 3D graphics, grid computing, networking, telecommunications, network protocols, IEEE standards, network security, etc.).The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents for domestic and foreign clients while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence; litigation support; Patent Trial and Appeal Board issues).Patent Attorney Requirements : Minimum BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or possibly Physics. Prior engineering experience is a plus.State bar and USPTO bar.Must have at least 1 year of full-time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm.Strong academic credentials.Of Counsel or Partner : If you have a portable book that makes you partially or fully self-sustaining, this could be an outstanding platform within which to integrate your existing portfolio of clients.Additional Notes for Candidates : All fees are paid by client firms and companies.
