We are seeking a high-caliber patent attorney with a strong computer science and engineering background for an excellent associate opportunity. This is a well-managed, highly respected, and booming practice. The bulk of the work in the pipeline relates to initial patent drafting and prosecution for a diverse roster of sophisticated high-tech clients, both domestic and foreign. Providing support for opinions (patentability, infringement, freedom to operate), portfolio management, due diligence, and litigation is also in the mix, depending on your experience and the ongoing needs of the practice.
Your specific exposure will be dependent upon your technical expertise and experience. Here, you will see a broad spectrum of complex software and computer engineering applications (cryptography, block-chain, artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise and mobile applications, databases, web and cloud services, operating systems, software user interfaces, open source, 3D graphics, grid computing, networking, telecommunications, network protocols, IEEE standards, network security, etc.)
Patent Attorney Requirements :
- Minimum BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or possibly Physics. Prior engineering experience is a plus.
- State bar and USPTO bar.
- Must have at least 1 year of full-time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm.
- Strong academic credentials.
