The practice leaders within this firm have impressive backgrounds and have continuously succeeded in attracting top clients and top talent.The majority of your responsibilities will pertain to patent drafting and prosecution for a diverse roster of high-tech clients, both domestic and foreign. There will also be the opportunity to support clients in other related areas (e.g., patentability, freedom to operate, and infringement opinions; international patent portfolio strategy management; due diligence; Patent Trial and Appeal Board issues), subject to the ongoing needs of this expanding practice.Here, you will see a diverse array of complex software and computer engineering applications (cryptography, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise and mobile applications, databases, web and cloud services, operating systems, software user interfaces, open source, 3D graphics, grid computing, networking, telecommunications, network protocols, IEEE standards, network security, etc.). Your specific exposure will be dependent upon your interests, technical expertise, and experience.Patent Attorney Requirements : Must have at least 2 years of full-time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm.Minimum BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or possibly Physics.State bar and USPTO bar.Strong academic credentials.Of Counsel or Partner : If you have a portable book that makes you partially or fully self-sustaining, this could be an outstanding platform within which to integrate your existing portfolio of clients.Additional Notes for Candidates : All fees are paid by client firms and companies.
