This is an excellent patent attorney associate (partner-track) opportunity within a well-respected and growing practice. Your work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents, patent opinions, patent portfolio strategy, due diligence, and client counseling, with the potential opportunity for PTAB and trademarks work as well. This firm has an impressive roster of high-tech clients. Here, your client assignment and responsibility will be commensurate with your abilities.
This group is very intentionally looking for people who can grow with the firm, assume client responsibility, and eventually become partners. Notably, there are multiple avenues to partnership (equity and non-equity). Partnership (equity or non-equity) is focused on bringing in your own clients, since this practice has a very impressive list of long-standing Fortune 500 clients which has been steadily growing. More specifically, they are looking for the next generation of attorneys who can be the next leaders in the firm. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are important as client interaction and responsibility would progressively increase.
This firm has clients within variety of industries and has a strong flow of work relating to a range of technologies (e.g., medical device, telecommunications and networks, automated manufacturing and machine design, robotics, physics, optics, consumer and industrial electronics, software engineering and cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), autonomous vehicles, etc.). Here, you will need to have a strong technical background, as the emphasis is on efficiently providing quality work relating to complex patents and important patent families.

Patent Attorney Qualifications
- Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g. electrical, computer, mechanical, biomedical, aeronautical), physics, or computer science. Advanced degrees are not required, but would certainly be valued.
- JD, State Bar, USPTO License
- 2 to 7 years of full time patent law experience, with a focus on patent drafting and prosecution.
- A least 2 years of full time patent drafting and prosecution experience within a respected law firm.
