This is an excellent in-house opportunity for an experienced patent attorney. The responsibilities primarily pertain to the preparation and prosecution of patents, ongoing informal opinions, strategic counseling, due diligence, licensing, trademarks, and patent portfolio management. The technical category is primarily relating to software, machine learning, artificial intelligence.
This is a small, but expanding patent department within a technology driven company. You will work closely with engineering, general legal, and top management relating to innovative and highly valuable patent families that are of great importance to the company. Portfolio and overall departmental responsibility will grow and be commensurate with experience and demonstrated ability.

Patent Attorney Requirements:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- BS in engineering or computer science
- State bar and USPTO license
- At least 2 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience, ideally with some experience relating to software, algorithms, machine learning, and/or artificial intelligence
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a desire to work interactively within a very collegial environment and the ability to effectively communicate with people of various disciplines (i.e., general legal, executives, etc.)
- This is a very progressive and techy company that has totally adapted to hiring permanently remote professionals who can work from anywhere in the continental USA
