Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - South Point, OH
Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Job Descriptions:
Quality Control & Document Control
- Provide oversight and in-process inspection of all welding processes
- Support/inspect additional departments (paint and final assembly)
- Review customer specs against project drawings to ensure all weld call outs meet spec as well as various codes
- Inspect procedures requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources (hardness testing, filet gages mil thickness, etc)
- Work with Mechanical/Design engineering and project managers to ensure the weld ability of assemblies to meet specifications.
- Ensure documents, processes, and procedures comply with quality requirements and specifications
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the national code requirements are met.
- Review customer specifications against company Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and make sure the standards are met
- Organize and maintain record on all heat/lot numbers on piping and related materials.
- Using inspection record document all findings and report back with a site audit pro report for each job.
- Conduct final traveler review for Fab/Hydro testing when needed
- Work closely with manufacturing and welding engineer to ensure all documentation is completed
- Work closely with VP of quality and weld engineer to identify process improvement
- Maintain documentations of compliance with ASME codes and regulations
Requirements:
- AA degree in Welding Technology or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience
- CWI certification
- Knowledge of ASME, AWS and welding standard
- Able to read building prints, layouts and welding specifications
- Able to resolve quality issues
- Good computer skills and good math skills
