Mechanical Assembly Technician $18-$21/hr, South Point, OH

1st shift MON-FRI 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

2nd shift (MON-THURS) 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM >> $2 shift differential

Job Descriptions:

• Install a variety of electrical equipment and component devices such as: cable trays, conduit, brackets, pipe hangers, assembly mounts for HVAC units, pumps, etc.
• Measure, cut, and bend buss bar for specific projects. Level skids.
• Assemble structural framework and Frame CAD wall assembles on skids. Install roof panels and trusses.
• Assemble, fit, and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
• Follow quality process in checking procedures and equipment to verify mechanical integrity of units.
• Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Torque assemblies to spec. Perform basic troubleshooting duties as required and diagnose cause of mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make necessary repairs.

Requirements:

• one-year experience working as a skilled laborer in heavy industrial manufacturing operations
• Ability to read and understand basic wiring schematics and layout diagrams.
• Experience with various hand tools.
• Willingness to take ownership of and resolve challenging technical support issues
• Must be willing to travel up to 5% of time.
• The employee must occasionally lift 50 lbs. and move up to 100 pounds.
• Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance
• Frequently required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
• Must be able to safely climb up and down ladders and work at heights between six to fifteen feet when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
