The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing and analyzing the results of the complex scientific tests.
Essential Functions

- Prepping urine and blood specimens for toxicology testing
- Aliquoting patient samples for various procedures to test for the presence or quantity of therapeutic drugs and drugs of abuse
- Screening patient samples on the Olympus/AU 700 analyzer
- Monitoring quality control measures and protocols
- Preparing calibrators, QC, IS, Mastermix, etc.
- If licensed as an MT, reviewing LCMS Data and experience with LCMS
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
- Maintaining laboratory logs

Qualifications, Knowledge and Competencies
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Certification by ASCP, AMT, or AAB, Medical Technologist License (or Medical Laboratory Technician) in State of Florida and laboratory experience.
Knowledge: Apollo LIMS, Olympus
Competencies: Technical Capacity, Decision Making, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven, Pipetting
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, and hours specified by the manager.
