VICE PRESIDENT, NORTH AMERICA
IPC, International, Inc., the global trade association for the electronics manufacturing industry, seeks a Vice President, North America who will be responsible for understanding and meeting the needs of the region’s electronics industry. This will largely be accomplished by developing strong relationships with regional membership and representing their needs to the various product and service lines of the association. Additional responsibilities include the overall management, performance, and growth within the region. This includes overseeing relevant strategy, operations, finances, membership, customer service, events and team leadership. Coordination with other divisions to accomplish this will be paramount. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive leadership, with a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive business growth in a competitive market. This role provides the opportunity to shape and lead a key region for a global organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies and objectives to achieve association goals, with a focus on revenue growth, market share, and profitability across North America.
Member Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key members, customers, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and identifying new business opportunities throughout the electronics eco-system.
Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of regional operations, ensuring efficiency and optimization of resources.
Financial Objectives: Understand and work with product/service lines to relate and deliver solutions that will meet the
member needs. Collaborate with global marketing teams to tailor campaigns for the North American market.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across various functions. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the North American division.
Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks to the business and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and association policies.
Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates to the executive team on regional performance, including key metrics such as membership and revenue growth, operational efficiency, and member engagement / satisfaction.
Market Expansion & Innovation: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and member needs, and identify opportunities for product innovation and market expansion.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related, Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in business operations, including 5 years in an executive leadership role, ideally within a global or regional capacity.
- Proven track record of managing large, diverse teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
- Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in managing multi-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, operations, and customer service.
- Ability to navigate complex business environments and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, NetSuite (Salesforce or related CRM tools).
- Willingness to travel as required to oversee operations and build relationships; up to 30%, some international.
