Job Description: Forklift Driver/Material Handler

Direct Hire Opportunity!

We are an injection molding manufacturer located in Lake Forest, IL, seeking full-time Forklift Drivers/Material Handlers to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Forklift in a safe manner according to protocol.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Make sure that resin is continuously and properly supplied to the machines.
• Wrap palleted products and place them in the appropriate location.
• Transport items to their designated locations based on a production schedule.
• Document orders, materials, and any stock movements.
• Unload incoming vehicles putting stock in assigned locations if necessary.
• Load outgoing vehicles and ensure materials are secure when needed.
• Maintain equipment by performing all necessary tasks to ensure proper functionality of the vehicle.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of sit-down forklift experience
• Good verbal, written, and basic math skills
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not necessary
• Able to work independently
• Good height and depth perception.
• Ability to lift heavy objects about 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in uncomfortable temperatures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good alertness to ensure the safety of the workspace.

Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years of sit-down forklift experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong verbal, written, and basic math skills
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Shift Details:

• 2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM ($17.25/hour)
• 3rd Shift: 11 PM - 7 AM ($17.50/hour)

Note: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime on weekends. Some weekends may require mandatory overtime.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.25 - $17.50 per hour
Expected Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week with option sign up OT on weekends.

Shift Availability:

• Only hiring for 2nd (3:00pm – 11:00pm) and 3rd shifts (11:00pm – 7:00am)

Ability to Commute:

• Must be able to commute to Lake Forest, IL (required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Relocation to Lake Forest, IL required before starting work
