We are an injection molding manufacturer based in Lake Forest, IL, seeking experienced Quality Control Technicians to join our team full-time. The ideal candidates will possess basic computer and math skills, familiarity with various measuring devices, strong communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail for documenting results and assisting management. We are currently hiring for second and third shifts and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including insurance, paid vacation, paid breaks, and paid holidays.
Shift Details:
- 2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM ($17.00/hour)
- 3rd Shift: 11 PM - 7 AM ($18.00/hour)
Key Responsibilities:
- Compare products against established visual and dimensional standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of inventory as needed.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on machine operators’ work.
- Alert machine operators when adjustments are required.
- Complete inspection forms accurately.
- Label inventory with clear and descriptive labels.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of basic geometry for measuring shapes.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic.
- Competent in basic computer navigation and data entry.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks consistently with repeatable results.
Abilities:
- Read and interpret charts and forms with numerical details.
- Maintain detailed records of dimensions.
- Possess good visual acuity for inspection tasks.
- Read measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers, gauges).
- Capable of walking and standing for most of the day.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Utilize basic hand tools effectively.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime on weekends.
