Job Title: Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator
Location: Lake Forest, IL 60045 (Relocation required before starting)

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
About Us:
We are a dynamic company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing plastic resin commodities essential for our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, select, and purchase high-quality plastic resin products, including Virgin PP, HDPE, and various engineering grades of injection molded resin.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
- Process purchase orders and keep management informed on the status of orders.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock is maintained appropriately.
- Arrange transportation of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze market trends to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with inventory teams, management, and other departments to forecast business needs and align purchasing strategies.
- Assess the quality of received stock and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (preferred).
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing principles is a plus.
