Tool Set-Up Technician **DIRECT HIRE

Job Description

We are a plastic injection molding manufacturing company located in Lake County, IL, seeking a dedicated Set-Up Technician to join our team full-time. 2nd, & 3rd shifts available. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work and have background knowledge using mechanical tools or experience in automotive repair shops. Shift Details:

• ,2nd, & 3rd shifts available
• Full-time, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain injection molding machines.
• Operate and maintain basic mechanical tools, such as electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, and pneumatic/hydraulic tools.
• Use overhead cranes safely and effectively.
• Follow safety protocols and use required safety gear as per company policy.
• Carry and move materials over 30 lbs as needed.
• Ensure that all machinery is properly calibrated and in good working order.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain production schedules and quality standards.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical position.
• Injection molding experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools (electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools).
• Experience with overhead cranes and proper safety techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to carry and handle materials weighing 30 lbs or more.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
