What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Assembly Technician position at IPECO?
The Final Assembly Technician is responsible for customer support including, but not limited to inspection, and complete final assemble of products.
- Maintain current knowledge of all production seats to work efficiently and meet scheduled completion deadlines.
- Review and verify work orders to confirm work to be completed.
- Inspect all top-level seat pulls from stock room to confirm it has the correct parts prior to starting work, logging all discrepancies, and reporting to Team lead upon discovery.
- Inspect and verify seat structures for correct assembly prior to assembling.
- Maintain extreme care when prepping or working with plated and upholstered parts to prevent scratches, cuts, scuffs, or render parts unusable. Report all discrepancies to Team Lead upon discovery.
- Assemble products according to work order, work instructions, drawings, and quality expectations. Report any discrepancies to Team Lead upon discovery.
- Maintaining a high attention to detail is required to provide a high-quality final product.
- Work within guidelines to ensure traceability is maintained.
- Complete tasks within time allotted by production planning.
- Perform duties in a proper and efficient manner, to aid in reduced costs, man hours to complete, and return to service times.
- Act whole-heartedly in the interest of the company always complying to the rules and regulations.
- Maintain machinery and tools in good, clean working order. Report any faults or concerns to the Team Lead.
- Maintain a safe working environment, observe published health and safety guidelines.
- Use proper PPE when needed, [safety glasses, gloves, respirator, etc.]
- Performs other duties as assigned/needed.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must be able to stand, bend, sit, or kneel for extended periods of time.
- Ability to apply knowledge and experience to tasks to increase efficiency and quality of product.
- Ability to keep work area clean and organized, free of debris and clutter.
- Ability to understand work orders.
- Ability to understand engineering documents and interpret blueprints.
- Possess ability to use proper measuring devices and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to apply basic computer skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
