The successful candidate will be responsible to support injection molding machinery and facility maintenance activities. These maintenance activities are to be performed while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control to achieve plant goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible to support injection molding machinery and facility maintenance activities. These maintenance activities are to be performed while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control to achieve plant goals.
Principal Responsibilities
- Able to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices with accuracy.
- Ability to work with tolerances to 0.001" or smaller
- Repair, rebuild, modify existing tooling with limited supervision
- Change basic mold components that are worn and determine if they indeed need replacement
- Ability to polish tooling, repair parting lines and fix shutoffs
- Able to make all types of injection mold tooling from cores, cavities, stripper, with or without supplied drawings.
- Develop a solution to a problem and suggest improvements to make the tool more robust or produce higher quality parts with reduced breakdowns
- Make mold tooling components with limited supervision
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have experience/exposure with machining (ideally injection molds but not required) or be currently taking machining course work
- High School diploma or greater
- Must have the ability to read, write and do advanced mathematics
- Able to read blueprint, work from sketches or verbal instructions
- Knowledge of operation of shop fabrication equipment is preferred
- Have knowledge of tooling and machine design
- Successful candidate must complete a background check
- Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs
