Job Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician! This role will be based out of our new Injection Molding plant located in Pineville, NC. Reporting to Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for the inspection of all products manufactured in all departments and operate all related testing equipment. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve plant goals.

• Pay Range- $23.11-$24.79 Per Hour

• 12-hour rotating shift! (Working 4 on 4 off; 84 hours bi-weekly) with bi-weekly pay

Key Responsibilities

• Able to read, generate, submit, print, or communicate different records and reports including test results, measurement results, FSA approval/non-approval, Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Mold Modification Request (MMR) and parts standards
• Make new programs on the CMM
• Comfortable with using IsoVision or similar systems to access documentation and issue NCRs. Ability to use Hydra MES to enter test data
• General knowledge of all QC tagging procedures, documents for inspection and testing
• Accurately use hand-held measuring equipment such as micrometers, pi-tapes, CMM, gages and tape measures per work instruction/training
• Perform all specialized testing and inspection such as but may not be limited to burst testing, impact testing, cement fitting testing or similar per instruction/training. Compliance of all special testing to the Quality Manual
• Operate color meter, moisture analyzer or similar per instruction/training
• In conjunction with or under the direction of the department manager, suggest and develop improvements to test procedures and equipment to improve department efficiency
• Assist all third-party agencies during audits
• Maintain accurate and legible records
  
  
  

Requirements

• High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
• 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Quality Assurance
• Basic mechanical knowledge and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Must have own safety boots and preferably own basic hand tools to include use of measurement tools- Micrometers, calipers, pi tape, tape measure

• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Successful candidate must complete a background check and drug screening
  
  
  

Working Conditions

• Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs
• Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
• Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat or cold, dust, noise levels and the use of sharp tools
