Job Summary
Credit risk analysts work in the credit department. Credit risk analysts use a variety of analytical techniques to evaluate the risks associated with lending to consumers and to evaluate business risks
Principal Responsibilities
Handle daily credit reviews promptly by prioritizing external/internal needs.
Evaluate credit worthiness and assign credit limits and ratings based on risk. Seek next-level approval with credit recommendation as per dedication of authority.
Oversee daily orders on hold to determine whether to increase credit exposure or to hold future orders by conducting a rapid credit investigation.
Coordinate and guide Credit Administration to handle queries related to credit forms.
Analyze financial statements and various reports to make constructive credit decisions.
Collaborate with Credit Analysts, Sales, Customer Service, customers, and external sources to be efficient with credit reviews.
Communicate with external/internal on credit requirements and decisions as needed.
Compile the Trade, Bank reference, and Credit report and compare it with the NACM and Credit Review Form.
Prepare the Credit review form and extract the accounts for the Senior Credit Risk Analyst.
Analyze and evaluate financial data, Such as Balance sheets and income statements, to determine the level of default risk.
Review and rate investments from the Credit report
Qualifications & Experience
CCP (Certified Credit Professional)
Degree/Diploma in Accounting
2 years of related experience in B2B credit
Certified Credit Professional an asset
Comprehensive analytical skills and credit knowledge
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
Skilled to prioritize, organize and complete daily tasks promptly
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
Ability to evaluate credit decisions independently using multiple sources of information
Capability to strive in fast-paced environment
Takes initiative and ownership of tasks
High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work within deadline
Skilled to work independently and with a team
