Associate Director, Medical Strategy

We’re looking for an Associate Director - Medical Strategy to join our team! Here, you’ll work across multiple accounts, applying scientific insights to deliver strategic medical guidance. This is your chance to lead medically-focused client interactions, contribute to new business development, and drive innovative strategy for a range of forward-thinking brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Scientific Expertise: Dive deep into assigned brands, medical fields, and competitive landscapes, staying current with industry trends and providing proactive recommendations.
• Strategic Leadership: Integrate medical and market insights to shape high-level communication strategies for clients. Help expand and refine IPG Health Medical Communications medical strategy offerings.
• Client Relationships: Lead medical discussions with clients and healthcare professionals across accounts, ensuring a strong scientific foundation in all content.
• Business Development: Drive medical insights for new business pitches and contribute during live presentations, collaborating with account and strategy teams.
• Content Oversight: Review scientific content for accuracy and strategic alignment, guiding teams across the agency from copywriters to art directors.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior team members, fostering their development and ensuring successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Education: Advanced degree (MS, MD, PhD, or PharmD) in Clinical/Scientific fields required.
• Experience: 5 years in the medical communications industry.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, adept at distilling complex medical info for diverse audiences; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 annually
