About the Job:
As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will play a vital role in transforming complex health data into compelling, accessible visual stories. You will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team that will design and develop innovative visualizations to help drive strategic, data-driven storytelling for healthcare clients.
A Day in the Life:
- Analyze data to generate novel, data-focused stories that enhance brand teamwork and meet communication objectives.
- Design and develop visual content, including infographics, charts, and graphs, to translate data into compelling stories.
- Create thought-provoking information design and data structures that align with core principles (smart, simplified, story-driven).
- Explore innovative visual approaches and techniques for data storytelling and share best practices with the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the IPG Health network to support strategic, data-driven storytelling.
- Apply expertise in information science, computer science, math, research, or a related field to drive data visualization and storytelling.
What You Will Need:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Math, Research, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year focused on data visualization and frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with hands-on experience in React.
- Expertise in D3.js and Chart.js to develop interactive, data-driven visualizations.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Experience optimizing performance and interactivity in web-based visualizations.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of web standards, browser compatibility, and user-centered design.
- Ability to build scalable, maintainable, and reusable visualization components.

Salary
$70,000-$95,000 annually.
