What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furnace Technician position at IPGenius?
Overview
We’re looking for experienced Heat Treat Technicians or Vacuum Furnace Technicians to join a team in Kent, WA. If you have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining vacuum furnaces, we’d love to speak with you!
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and monitor vacuum furnace subsystems and ancillary equipment
- Set up tooling and fixtures required for furnace operation
- Conduct parametric testing and follow established internal procedures
- Perform daily preventative checks to ensure equipment is running optimally
- Collaborate with teammates across shifts (2–4 techs per shift)
- Support process improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Ideal Background:
- 3 years experience in vacuum furnace or heat treat operations (required)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and process discipline
- Industry background in aerospace, metalworking, or other high-precision manufacturing is welcome
- No formal certification or degree required—hands-on experience matters most
