Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport items to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during pickups and drop-offs.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to optimize delivery routes.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring that all items arrive in excellent condition.
Experience
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in warehouse settings is beneficial for understanding logistics operations.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with clients.
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is advantageous for efficient route planning.
