Responsibilities

Job Summary:

 

The Principal Product Manager, Platform Capabilities plays a highly strategic role in shaping the long-term vision and delivering foundational platform capabilities that make it easier for customers to digitalize their products and leverage them across our ecosystem. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer success, to build scalable, flexible, and user-friendly platform solutions that drive business growth, revenue acceleration, and competitive differentiation, while providing mentorship to junior product managers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Platform Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the long-term strategic vision for platform capabilities that enable customers to digitalize their products and seamlessly integrate them within the iPipeline ecosystem. Identify market needs and customer pain points, shaping platform solutions that drive automation, interoperability, efficiency, and ecosystem-wide innovation—partner with internal stakeholders to align platform initiatives with broader product and business objectives.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to inform product decisions. Partner with customer success and sales teams to understand customer needs and ensure seamless adoption of platform capabilities. Use data-driven insights to optimize platform functionality and enhance the user experience.
  • Product Development & Execution: Own the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing enhancements. Work closely with engineering and design teams to translate platform requirements into scalable, high-performing solutions. Develop clear and concise product requirements, user stories, and roadmaps. Ensure platform capabilities align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring internal teams are aligned on platform priorities. Work closely with marketing and sales to effectively position and promote platform capabilities. Provide thought leadership on platform strategy, participating in industry discussions and events.
  • Metrics & Performance: Define key success metrics and track the impact of platform enhancements on customer adoption, satisfaction, and revenue-generating business growth. Continuously iterate on platform features based on customer feedback and usage data, optimizing for scalability and market leadership.

Qualifications

Technical Competencies:

  • Advanced ability to build scalable, API-driven platform solutions that enable digital product integration.
  • Proficient working with insurance, financial services, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to work closely with engineers to define and prioritize platform requirements.
  • Proficient success in launching self-service digital tools, workflow automation, or low/no-code integration solutions.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Advanced communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Ecosystem Design & Strategy: Expertise in designing platform ecosystems that drive customer value and business scalability.

 

Education and Knowledge:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or international equivalent. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Typically requires 10 years of product management experience in a SaaS organization, preferably focused on platform capabilities, APIs, or digital transformation
