Position Overview:
As a Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of the product development process from initial design concepts to final production-ready designs. This role demands creativity, technical expertise, and hands-on collaboration. You'll be working alongside various departments to ensure our innovative motorhomes meet both aesthetic and functional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Design Creation: Develop creative, cost-effective design concepts for both interior and exterior components of our RVs.
CAD & 3D Modeling: Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models and production-ready drawings that reflect the design intent.
Collaboration: Work closely with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Control, and Production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet high-quality standards.
3D Model Reviews: Participate in model reviews to ensure systems are properly integrated and meet design specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing design improvements for existing product lines to keep Tiffin Motorhomes ahead of industry trends.
Pilot Support: Provide technical support and guidance during the pilot build phase and troubleshoot design-related issues.
BOM Management: Generate and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and participate in the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
Quality Assurance: Conduct drawing reviews and ensure the products meet the highest standards during the manufacturing process.
Production Support: Act as a key resource for the production team, providing support during pilot builds and troubleshooting any design-related issues that arise.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in design engineering, preferably within the RV industry or a related field.
Skills: Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP).
CAD & 3D Modeling: Strong experience in CAD Modeling and 3D Modeling.
Manufacturing Background: Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools or familiarity with manufacturing processes is a plus.
Education: Bachelor s or Associate s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex engineering challenges.
Communication: Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams.
Passion for Innovation: A keen interest in delivering high-quality products and staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in RV design and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with industry trends, new technologies, and design innovations.
Attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve design issues during production.
