Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.
- Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve performance.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including models, schema designs, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with application developers to ensure database optimization and efficient query performance.
- Perform capacity planning and ensure database scalability.
- Stay updated on Oracle product releases and patches, and apply them as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA (typically 3 years).
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and administration.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and SQL tuning.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
- Understanding of database security best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud).
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools.
