**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Dining Room Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for food and hospitality. **Duties:** - Manage the day-to-day operations of the dining room, including supervising servers, bussers, and hosts/hostesses. - Ensure that all food and beverage orders are prepared and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. - Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure that menu items are consistently prepared to the highest standards. - Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize ordering. - Develop and implement effective food production and presentation techniques. - Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety standards. - Train new staff members and provide ongoing support and coaching to existing staff. - Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues that may arise. - Manage the dining room's budget, ensuring that expenses are kept to a minimum while maintaining high-quality service. - Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently. - Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients and preparation methods. - Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to the restaurant's policies and procedures. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience as a Dining Room Manager in a quick service or fine dining restaurant. - Strong leadership and supervisory skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques. - Experience with inventory control and food production. - Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations. - Bartending experience is a plus. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively. - High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field is an asset.
