Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Location: New Johnsonville TN

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of EHS programs and procedures, maintaining existing Safety/Environmental programs, systems & processes, and delivering rudimentary plant floor training as required by these programs, systems, and processes. The Safety Coordinator will play a key role in upholding the plant's effort to create and maintain an injury-free environment that trains, encourages each employee at all levels of the organization to become increasingly involved in our pursuit of improved safety and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of EHS programs and procedures
• Conduct hazard analysis methodologies to identify at-risk conditions and implement mitigation strategies
• Maintain existing Safety/Environmental programs, systems & processes
• Deliver rudimentary plant floor training as required by these programs, systems, and processes
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations
• Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement safety and environmental improvements
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship

• General knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Think under pressure and make quick decisions to identify solutions
• Work well in a team environment
• Strong communication and attention to detail

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Wear required PPE (safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe boots, ear protection, gloves)
• Climb and descend stairs
• Lift, push, and pull 50lbs repetitively
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Complete all annual safety and role specific training, as required by the nature of this position
• Must pass required assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
