What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurologist position at IPM Medical Group?
The Neurologist / Pain Management Physician will evaluate neurology and pain patients, offer clinical care, and support our Traumatic Brain Injury Program. This position requires a personable and skilled provider to help build relationships, create a positive atmosphere in our clinics, and diagnose pathology to recommend appropriate treatments.
Provider can sit at any nearby location to Walnut Creek, Campbell, Sacramento, and Modesto.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluating patients with a multidisciplinary team to determine which candidates are appropriate on a medical basis for enrollment to the TBI Program.
- Perform neuro consultations and establish appropriate treatment plans.
- Consult for any patient in the TBI program who requires a neurologist / medical attention.
- Evaluate and manage neurological patients.
- Conduct spinal procedures on eligible candidates.
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose the condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
- Discuss potential side effects of medication / treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication / treatment.
- Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Record complete, timely, and legible medical records.

Compensation Range :
275,000 to $400,000 Annually. All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
