We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This is a hybrid role based in our Montebello headquarters in Rockland County, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile accounts: AP, AR, prepaids, accruals, cash, etc.
- Own month end and ensure completion in an accurate and timely manner.
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
- Work with the Controller and external auditors to complete the audit process.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
- Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.
- Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a Sass business and with NetSuite preferred
- CPA preferred
