About the position :
Ippon is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to lead and manage a high-performing team of Account Executives. As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategy, execution, and overall performance of the sales team, while ensuring alignment with Ippon’s broader business goals. You will manage, mentor, and empower a talented group of sales professionals who represent Ippon’s brand, working closely with clients to deliver exceptional experiences and drive business growth. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and scale our sales organization, implementing best practices, fostering a collaborative culture, and ensuring that your team achieves and exceeds sales targets. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, consulting, and client success teams to optimize sales efforts, streamline processes, and drive revenue growth.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across existing and new client accounts.
- Drive the development and execution of strategic account plans for key clients and prospects.
- Collaborate with strategic partners like Snowflake and AWS to identify joint opportunities, drive co-selling initiatives, and ensure alignment between partner and company objectives.
- Leverage the company’s Premier Snowflake Partner and Advanced AWS Partner status to strengthen client relationships, unlock new opportunities, and enhance solution offerings.
- Ensure the sales team maintains a robust pipeline of pre-qualified leads and opportunities, meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Oversee the identification, analysis, and development of target accounts, ensuring that Account Executives are well-equipped to pursue high-value opportunities.
- Champion a data-driven, results-oriented approach to sales, using metrics and KPIs to track performance and ensure sales targets are met.
- Collaborate with marketing, practice managers, and consulting teams to refine and align sales strategies, offerings, and messaging for maximum impact.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Account Executives to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
- Foster a sales culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee the development of proposals, MSAs, SOWs, and other client-facing documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
- Ensure that best practices are implemented across the sales team and that all engagements are documented properly in Salesforce and other relevant systems.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the sales process to increase efficiency, close rates, and customer satisfaction.
- As a member of the executive team, you will serve as the primary liaison between the sales team and executive leadership, ensuring clear communication around sales performance, opportunities, and challenges.
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, client success, and consulting) to identify new business opportunities and optimize go-to-market strategies.
- Work with the marketing team to develop compelling sales collateral, case studies, and value propositions to drive sales growth.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior leadership on a regular basis, outlining progress toward targets, opportunities, and challenges.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess individual and team performance.
- Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of sales activities in Salesforce and other tools as required.
- Ensure that sales efforts align with Ippon’s broader business development and market penetration goals.
- Represent Ippon at industry conferences, meetups, and other external events to expand the company’s presence and visibility in the marketplace.
