We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Instrument and Controls Project Manager to join our talented team located in Cary, NC!
In this role, you will work on a project site, leading construction projects to successful completion - safely, on time, and on budget. Additionally, you will work with the Project Director and/or Senior Project Manager as you guide our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams in achieving project goals.

Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans; project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and client billing in coordination with accounting.
- Control System & Instrumentation Installation: Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of field instrumentation and control systems including DeltaV Control System Hardware (NN PCS), PK Controllers, and Siemens BMS hardware.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for high and low voltage control wiring systems, including 120VAC to 480VAC and 24VAC/VDC control systems.
- System Integration: Integrate and configure various control systems such as Profibus, BACnet, IO Link, and Charms IO modules into the larger system architecture.
- Control System & Electrical Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools such as voltmeters to conduct detailed troubleshooting and to ensure proper functioning of control systems and field devices.
- Field Instrumentation Management: Manage and maintain field instrumentation, valve switch packs, pneumatic control systems, and relay logic to ensure optimal operation.
- Monitor project costs and field conditions, and ensure changes are fully reflected in cost reports.
- Monitor design content and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance.
- Coordinate the construction schedule with design, commissioning, and qualification schedule requirements.
- If project risks are identified, work to mitigate those in partnership with senior leadership.
- Lead the established site safety program in your area and monitor performance with CMs and Superintendents on site.
- Interact regularly with the client, listening and ensuring that their needs are met with a focus on the IPS client experience.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, as you develop solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- 5 years of diversified engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of industry requirements and applications within the Process Automation market.
- 5 years of experience with industrial process control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based systems.
- 5 years of experience with pharmaceutical process instrumentation.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
- Experience with the development of control system network architectures.
