**Internship Opportunity in Electrical Engineering**
This is an on-site internship designed to provide hands-on training and experience for students currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program. Our interns will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and gain a deeper understanding of their field of study.
The Ipsen Intern position is ideal for candidates who are looking to undertake a professional internship that provides on-the-job training and experience. As an intern, you will engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable you to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform at a professional level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under supervision, successfully complete entry- to intermediate-level projects, tasks, or assignments.
- Participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
- Interact directly with internal or external colleagues or customers in the planning of assignments and the completion of assigned tasks.
- Enthusiastically receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel.
- Conduct original research and prepare reports based on findings, including recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Provide an end-of-internship presentation to the management team on key learnings, project summaries, and knowledge gained.
- Assist department team members with tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, which are occasionally complex and detailed technical instructions.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Possess intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as required depending on use within assigned department.
- Ability to effectively utilize department-related software typically taught within degree-specific courses.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be entering into Sophomore, Junior, Senior year of college at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of related coursework for assigned department or function to successfully complete assigned projects or tasks.
Physical/Visual/Mental/Environmental Factors:
- Regularly required to sit and use hands and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 10-20 pounds.
- Regularly requires close vision, hearing, and talking.
- Exposure to moderate noise level while in office.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts while in manufacturing areas.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions while in manufacturing areas.
